The NFVF, Ster Kinekor and United International Pictures (UIP) are proud to bring you a screening of the film, Underclassman.
This film provides an example of the "Comedy Fish Out of the Water" genre as a means to prepare writers who are interested in taking part in the contest.
Underclassman is a new action comedy starring Nick Cannon (Drumline, Love Don't Cost A Thing), Roselyn Sanchez (Rush Hour 2, Chasing Papi), Cheech Marin (Once Upon A Time In Mexico) and Shawn Ashmore (X-Men).
In the movie, LA's youngest cop, Tre Stokes (Nick Cannon) is about to get his biggest assignment: he must go undercover to break up a dangerous crime ring rooted in a upscale prep school. The deeper Tre goes the more dangerous and volatile the situation becomes. Fighting both his personal demons and the forces determined to take him down, he must risk everything to catch the ones closest to him.
The film will be showing this coming Wednesday, 01 March at Nu Metro Village Walk (Johannesburg) and Nu Metro V&A Waterfront (Cape Town) at 14H30. The Johannesburg screening will be followed by a discussion led by NFVF's Production Executive, Ryan Haidarian.
The screening facilities are offered by United International Pictures at no cost and are open to the public. Prints are supplied by Ster Kinekor Pictures.
