April 5th saw the inaugural meeting of WIFT - South Africa

Women in Film and Television (WIFT) is a not-for-profit, international organisation dedicated to nurturing and empowering women in Film & Television. With 35 established WIFT chapters across the globe, WIFT-SA has recently been founded to inspire, encourage and promote equity for all professional women, students and those aspiring to work in the industry. On April 5th, 2005, WIFT-SA opened its doors to new and prospective members to help plot a new course for South African women in film and television.


Who can be a member?

Anyone interested in fast-tracking their career in film and television. Members will include producers, directors, writers, performers, crew, agents, managers, distributors, editors, lawyers, administrators, executives, commissioning editors, camera operators, production personnel, publicists and others.
