Call for Entries: Submission of Films for the Cape Town World Cinema Festival, 11 - 20 November 2005

The Cape Town World Cinema Festival will showcase the latest International, African and South African films in its programme this year. The focus is on world cinema and more specifically films from the south. The programme consists of feature, documentary and short films with an "In Competition" and "Out of Competition" section.

The Cape Town World Cinema Festival occurs at the same time as the Sithengi Film and TV Market, which will take place from the 15th to the 18th of November in the Artscape Complex, Cape Town. Over 1924 delegates attended the Sithengi Film and TV Market from 46 countries around the world in 2004. Delegates included broadcasters, producers, distributors, sales agents and government representatives.  The 3rd Cape Town World Cinema showed a dramatic growth of attendance last year and we hope to maintain this in 2005.

We would like to invite you to submit viewing tapes on VHS PAL and DVD for our film festival selection.  See attached entry form for submission.  Once the selection has been done we will inform you and you would be expected to submit films on 35mm print or BetaSP.
