The Hubert Bals Fund and Gotheborg Film Fund in association with the Sithengi Film and TV Market would like to introduce to you a programme to encourage the development of Internationally Marketable feature films from Nigeria.
Every year Sithengi runs a Feature Film Co-production Forum (FFCF) where feature film producers meet with international sales agents and other international producers and financiers to discuss the financing of projects. Every year the majority of projects come from South Africa. In order to ensure more participation from the whole continent Sithengi would like to set up Pitching Forums in Lagos, Harare and Nairobi during various film festivals where feature film projects can be pitched to a panel and the best projects chosen. These projects and producers will then be funded to travel to Cape Town to participate in the Sithengi Film and TV Market. Thereafter, the best projects from the Sithengi Film and TV Market will travel to Europe.
All producers who would like to hear more about this programme should come to Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park, Lekki on Sunday the 10th of July 2005 at 14h00 where Michael Auret the CEO of Sithengi will give a presentation on the aims of the programme. A finger lunch will be served at 13h00.
Michael Auret will be attending the ITPAN Forum and producers can also meet with him there.
