"KUNSKAFEE" is a magazine programme about the arts, which aims to reflect art in such a way it will become accessible to all viewers, but at the same time not disappoint art connoisseurs. All of the arts are featured: theatre and sculpture, architecture and landscape design, classical music and pottery, ballet and modern dance, fine art and street painting, literature and installations, computer art and the Internet, photography and cartoons. Anything from profiles, happenings in the art world to up to date round-ups.

"Kunskafee" is not recorded in a studio. The backdrop is always a different location - a theatre, an exhibition, a gallery, an interesting garden or innovative architectural design, etc.
Although the programme is presented in Afrikaans, local and international artists are also featured in the line-up.
The programme does not only give insightful profiles on artists and happenings in the South African arts world. It also includes a weekly roundup that alternates between CD launches, productions, exhibitions and recitals in the Western Cape and Gauteng.
Visit our website at www.kunskafee.co.za, write us a note in our guestbook and stand a chance to win theatre tickets for Life@centrestage (at the Pieter Toerien Theatre at Montecasino), or SABT's La Traviata (at the State Theatre in Pretoria).
* We drop in at the Johannesburg Art Gallery to find out more about all their historical works. A series of Dutch paintings from the 17th Century make part of this fabulous collection.
* A group of women from the informal settlements around Cape Town form part of a project called Hands. They specialize in functional artworks such as handbags made of copper wire and beads.
* Hettie discuss the books on the Exclusive Books Homebru list. This list is a compilation of the best local books of the year.
* In Gauteng we pop in at the Montecasino for Life@centrestage and we go to Pretoria for a look at SABT's La Traviata.
