The Sithengi Film & Television Market - the industry component of the Cape Town World Cinema Festival - will take place in Cape Town from 15 - 18 November 2005. All industry professionals and aspirants in Africa and internationally have recognised this Market as the place to find good African film and television projects and products. It is the only time of the year in South Africa where local and international filmmakers, potential filmmakers, and film financiers, distributors and sales agents can network with each other on an internationally recognised platform. The Market is the only event of its kind in Africa. It provides you with the structure that will facilitate introductions to industry professionals who could possibly assist you in funding, packaging and selling your projects.
The four-day event offers a variety of conferences programs, workshops, debates, co-production forums and exhibitions structured in a way that will enhance your knowledge and contacts within the industry. In addition, this is also Sithengi's second year in co-operation with the Berlinale Talent Campus - the prominent talent campus of the Berlin Film Festival. Most of the influential in the film industry will be on hand to share their knowledge, experience and provide advice on getting geared for success.
We have been committed to ensuring that you receive more value from your registration and to this end the following benefits will accrue to the following registration types:

Members
a) The rates for membership are as follows:
i) Rate - R1750
ii) Payment terms are as follows:
(1) A monthly payment plan is available upon application
(2) Fees must be fully paid by 15th October.
b) The benefits for this membership have been amended and will now
include the following:
i) Access to Sithengi services for 1 year including;
(1) Access to the Sithengi International Database
(2) Access to the Sithengi African Database
(3) Access to the Sithengi Resource Library and other intellectual
capital in the form of experienced and professional staff
(4) A bold listing in the Sithengi Delegates Listing
(5) A bold listing in the Sithengi Website Database
ii) Access into the Sithengi Film & TV Market from 15th - 18th
November and the CTWCF Red Carpet Screenings from 11th -
20th November, excluding the 11th (Opening Night) and 19th
(Awards Night)
iii) Access into the Co-production Market
(1) In order to access the co-production forums and initiatives,
applicants would need to register as individual members.
These include access into the DCF, FFCF and WF
(2) Only registered individual members will be allowed access
into the Co-production Lounge at the Market. This will allow
them to meet all the international and national guests of
the Co-production Market without them necessarily needing
to be part of the actual pitching. These introductions are
invaluable to local filmmakers
(3) Individual members will have access to booking one-on-
one meetings with our international guests (conditions
apply). These conditions include the following:
(a) That these meetings are not scheduled in the time of
the pre-approved meetings or pitching sessions as
these pre-approved meetings are only open to projects
that have gone through the DCF, FFCF and WF
programs. These meetings would therefore need to be
outside of the Market's pre-approved programs.
(b) That these meetings are booked with the help of the
Sithengi Projects Officer at least a week prior to the
Market's first day i.e. prior to 15th November.
iv) Access into the Product Market
(1) Registration as an individual member will allow these
members to submit their completed products into the
product library at no additional cost.
(2) Individual members will have access to booking one-on-one
meetings with African Broadcasters (conditions apply).
These conditions include the following:
(a) That these meetings are booked with the help of the
Sithengi Product Officer at least a week prior to the
Market's first day i.e. prior to 15th November.
v) Access into all conferences unless such conferences are closed
meetings
vi) Access to all exhibitors and their stands
vii) Access to the Talent Campus program (conditions apply in
respect of numbers per class)
viii) Access to Market parties, functions and networking sessions
(conditions apply).
ix) Access to the Cape Town World Cinema Festival (CTWCF) in the
following:
(1) Tickets to the CTWCF Red Carpet Screenings (excluding the
11th and the 19th) in the Main Theatre of the Artscape
(conditions apply). These conditions are:
(a) One ticket per individual member
(b) Ticket to be collected upon producing your individual
member registration badge
(c) Tickets to be collected on the morning of the red carpet
screening at the CTWCF desk at the Artscape.
x) A personal postbox at the Sithengi Film & TV Market.

a) Delegate rates are as follows:
i) Delegate (15th - 18th November) - R1250
ii) Delegate Day Pass - R600
b) The benefits for Delegates are as follows:
i) Access to the Sithengi Film & TV Market from 15th - 18th
November
ii) Access to Sithengi Services. These services include:
(1) Access to the Sithengi African Database
(2) A listing in the Sithengi Delegates List
(3) A listing in the Sithengi Website Database
iii) Access into all conferences unless such conferences are closed
meetings
iv) Access to all exhibitors and their stands
v) Access to Market parties, functions and networking sessions
(conditions apply).

Exhibition Rates
a) These rates have remained unchanged from 2004.
b) The stand rates are as follows:
i) 3m x 3m x 2.5h - R18 000 (plus access for three exhibitors to
man the stand)
ii) 2m x 3m x 2.5h - R14 175 (plus access for two exhibitors to
man the stand)
iii) 1m x 3m x 2.5h - R 7 000 (plus access for one exhibitor to
man the stand)

a) This registration is only available upon submission of a valid
Student Card.
