Conference Room, Old Fort, Constitution Hill, Braamfontein
Refreshments will be served after the briefings.

The SABC Content Hub was launched formally at Sithengi 2004 ... revolutionising the management and acquisition of Content for the public broadcaster. The Hub's Genre Factual has a bold Vision:

To be a global bastion of creative storytelling that covers the scope and complexity of the South African experience by fully exploring and illuminating the critical issues of our times... the mirror of a nation on a journey of discovery!

In keeping with this Vision and a Tone that says simply: "Beyond the Edge", the Genre Factual will in future stagger the issuing of Briefs, starting with Encounters 2005. In addition, the deadlines for Briefs will be related to as far as possible to Channel Schedules.

The Content Hub Genre Factual Briefs Previewed at Encounters 2005, covering SABC 1, 2 and 3... with a commissioning value of approximately R7-million.

The Briefs will also be made available on the SABC website at: www.sabc.co.za.
