29 year old Shaheeda Sadien was born in the township of Hanover Park in Cape Town, South Africa. She started out her career serving Articles at Bush Kohlberg CA (SA) while working towards completing her BCompt degree at UNISA.
Shaheeda entered the entertainment industry working for one of SA's leading events promotions companies on production accounting for events. She moved to their sister company to lead a team on the production reconciliation accounting for ticketing. She left the entertainment industry to be employed at an NGO, Foundation for Contemporary Research (FCR) and filled the post of Accountant. FCR focuses on research in sustainable livelihoods and local government. Here she worked directly with international funders and local government.
In July 2003 she was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Sithengi Film & TV Market Initiative. Her responsibilities are to manage the financial, human resources, risk and information technology portfolio of the organisation.
