The Sithengi Writers Forum (WF) is a platform for local writers to meet both local and international producers and possible financiers.
The WF is open to all writers of full-length well-written feature film scripts/screenplays from South Africa and Africa that are attractive to both a local and international market.
Projects, are sent to local and international producers and financiers, who are looking for new scripts, prior to Sithengi. These industry players then select the projects and writers they would like to meet with and the Sithengi team sets up one-on-one meetings with the interested producers during the WF at Sithengi.
The Writers Forum offers talented writers the opportunity to meet various African and International producers through this series of one-on-one meetings.
The objective of the WF is to ensure that projects are ‘matched' with interested producers/financiers who have the capacity to come on board with either financing or as a producer.
The Forum is a closed event, open only to those participating and will take place on the 17th and 18th November on the 3rd Floor Balcony.
