INTRODUCTION TO SCRIPTWRITING
Telling stories through the ‘moving image'

Background
This course will guide you towards the basic skills of story-telling via the ‘moving image'. By the end of the course you should have completed the script for a 5 minute film. The intention is that participants who have successfully completed this course would then be able to go on to a more advanced level.

Presenters

She worked for eight years as writer and director in broadcast, corporate and educational television, during which time she garnered several AVANTI awards for scriptwriting. She has written for ‘Generations' (SABC 1) and ‘Top Billing' (SABC 3). She is engaged at present in writing and producing a documentary on women farm workers in W.Cape and is also co-writing a feature film for SEDIBA 2005. Yvonne currently lectures in Scriptwriting at City Varsity.
