Here we are already in 2006. The industry has hopefully had a restful Christmas holiday break and a well-earned rest. Talentfinders continues to expand both its subscriber base and the number of people and organisations that use the site:
New Members
We welcome Quirky House who represent Colin Moss, Nicky Greenwell, Marius Roberts and Lee-Anne Summer. Today Tomorrow.Biz are representing speakers, including Graeme Codrington, Michael Mol, Bhule Dlamini (who climbed Mount Everest), Keith Coats and Barry Bramly. The South African rowing team represented by Bruce Turvey have just boosted our sports section and a number of stars have listed themselves in their individual capacity. These include Amy Kleynhans, Mark Pilgrim and Jana Strydom, Ebi Halberstadt, Hannes van Wyk and Henk Pretorius from Egoli. We also welcome the new faces from Storm.Francois Brink Marketing who represents Natalie du Toit, Thea Maki du Rand (rock climber) and Ernst van Dyk (wheelchair athlete) are now on board as well as a number of new faces from Trinity Entertainment.
Users
We have had positive feedback from Herdbouys McCann and Ericson and Red Cherry Productions to name just a few firms. Chrome has provided talent for the new Ola commercial. What is of interest is the number of direct inquiries we get for talent. These are always referred to the agencies concerned, but it is nice to know that we are not operating in the vacuum of the internet.
Technical stuff
We are now listed on Goooooogle so that international searches can also find us (and hopefully you!).
Promotions
We have participated in a number of promotional activities in the past six months. These include a sponsorship in the Miss Pretoria contest at the end of November.
Thank You and Best Wishes
Our thanks to all of you, both subscribers and users, who support TalentFinders. May you have a busy and prosperous 2006.
