AMAA Return to Bayelsa State

The African Movie Academy Awards Returns to the Glory of Lands and the Hidden Paradise Bayelsa State: The CEO of AMAA Peace Anyiam-Fiberesima

The African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA is an offshoot of the African Film Academy. The Academy founded on the best film tradition, is geared towards research, training and propagating film making in Africa. Behind it are film producers, directors, designers, writers, critics and scholars who share in the belief of a renaissant African film.

AMAA is thus conceptualized as an annual celebration of the brightest and the best in African movie. It is about class and style, blitz, glitz and razzmatazz. It is the biggest gathering of movie makers across the African continent and the diaspora. It is to show to the world that the rating of Nollywood (Nigeria) as the third largest producers of movie is real.

For the 2ND edition, movies are already in from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Liberia, Ghana, of course Nigeria and some are expected from French West African countries. The internationally acclaimed personalities behind the films will equally in the country. Add to these the showbiz czars, film stars, political big wigs, business tycoons among others that will throng the Civic Center, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on April 29THfor the Awards... We can only whisper that it is breathtaking. And the clincher. Bayelsa State is rolling the red carpet for everyone as it lives up to its billing as the Glory of all Lands.
