Sithengi’s Product Market offers local and international producers the perfect forum to present their completed programmes to buyers and producers from around the world.
The Product Market is a leading business space for independent filmmakers attending Sithengi 2005.
- It consists of screening facilities and a film and television library that is accessible to programme buyers throughout the Market
- It offers a prominently located business suite manned by knowledgeable and informed staff, specifically designed for product buyers and filmmakers with films registered in the Product Market
- It allows filmmakers and buyers to conveniently interact through a well-structured programme to be marketed and supervised by Sithengi staff
- It provides for screenings to individual buyers or larger audiences
Sithengi will actively attract buyers to the Product Market stand by:

Printing a special Market Screening Guide and a Product Catalogue that will be distributed to all buyers and product distributors

Providing electronic data capturing, by Knowledge Focus, of information regarding buyers who visit the Product Market, including contact details for follow-up calls

Issuing official invitations from the chairperson of Sithengi to attend all the film screenings

THE PRODUCT MARKET
Sithengi invites independent producers to submit their products for entry into the following categories for screening:
Market Screenings
If you choose to have a film screened at the Market, the option comes at a cost of R1600.00 per film and the price includes VAT. For these screenings you can invite approximately 60 delegates (not open to the public) for a viewing - delegates can include buyers, your peers, and anyone else who is a registered delegate at Sithengi. The responsibility for the marketing of your film rests entirely with you, although Sithengi will assist you by publishing your product in the special Market Screening Guide.
Product Library
If you decide that the fee to have your film screened as part of Market Screenings is beyond your budget, you can have a copy of your film held at our Product Library for the duration of the full 4 days. This option comes at a cost of R260.00 per film including VAT. Again, the marketing and promotion of your film will be your responsibility, but we will publish your film in our special Market Screening Guide.
In addition to the options above, Sithengi 2005 also offers the On Demand option. This option is for those filmmakers who arrive at the Market, film in hand, who want to have an on-the-spot viewing with prospective buyers or interested parties. This option will also cost you R260.00 per film including VAT. Please note that these screening sessions will be for 30 minutes only.
