Who's New at Sithengi

Sithengi Welcomes Alison Siebritz-Steyn as new PA to Michael Auret (CEO & Festival Director)

33-yr old Alison Siebritz-Steyn's career as an Executive PA came about by chance. After matric she studied at Cape Technikon towards a National Diploma in Marketing and Sales. Her keen desire to learn by experience drove her to hone her skills in the workplace. These skills afforded her an opportunity to join the permanent employ of South African banking giant, Nedcor. She held down the challenging task of PA to the Chief Investment Officer at Nedcor Investment Bank for four years.

Motherhood beckoned and this new chapter brought about the need for a different challenge in her career as well. A stint with the largest global reinsurance entity, Swiss Re Life & Health gave her a taste of international employment standards.

The South African financial services industry's relocation of its head offices from Cape Town to Johannesburg during the early 2000's brought about her next career move to South Africa's most sought after brand, Woolworths, where she held the position of PA to the Head of Financial Services. While the financial services arena has been the "playground" of a career than spans more than ten years, Alison's nature is creative and anything but "grey". After two and a half years with Woolworths the opportunity to join the industry of her passion became a reality through another unexpected turn.

Alison joins Sithengi with a desire to create structure in an industry notorious for its flair for the unexpected and uncalculated; hoping to make a positive impact with her many talents.

She is a married mother of two little girls, who love movies as much as their mother. Her own creative flair is exercised through the lens of her camera, her love for the written word and the aromas that float out of her kitchen.
